The Canadian Space is your automated news hub for space exploration, with a special focus on Canadian contributions to the cosmos.
How This Started
My name is Chris. I’m a huge fan of sci-fi, video games, and all things space. We live in an amazing time right now with SO MANY cool things happening in the aerospace industry.
For the longest time, I wished like heck that I was born back when my father was, so I could follow along with the Apollo project and watch humans take their first steps into the void and onto another world (or moon, in this case). And now here we are—on the eve of a whole new reach into the stars!
And holy crap, there is just way too much to keep track of.
So I built the backbone of what has become The Canadian Space as a kind of personal toolkit—an automated system that pulls together space news, launch schedules, and updates from across the industry into one daily digest. Something to help me stay on top of the important parts of what was going on out there, without needing to sift through hundreds of Twitter feeds, broadcasts, and news sites.
After using it for a little while, my lovely girlfriend suggested that other folks might be interested in using this toolkit too. And with a little urging on her part, and a heck of a lot of work from me, this little hobby project turned into The Canadian Space!
How It Works
Today, much of the daily content is generated by my AI assistant “Robo Chris,” which I’ve trained to aggregate and summarize space news the way I would. I review and edit everything to ensure accuracy and add that human touch. Think of it as having a dedicated space news intern who never sleeps and loves reading launch manifests. Curious to dig a little deeper? Check out the Tools Of The Trade page to see everything that makes thecanadian.space run!

I hope, whoever you are reading this page, that you enjoy this little toolbox and find it helpful in your own exploration of all things from here to the stars!
I’ll see you out there,
Chris
